Air Duct Cleaning

  Duct and Vent Cleaning Services

It’s important for all components of the system to be cleaned. Failure to clean a component of a contaminated system can result in re-contamination of the entire system, thus negating the benefits.

It is the thorough cleaning of heating and cooling system components of forced air systems, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, grilles and diffusers, heat exchangers heating and cooling coils, condensation drain pans, fan motor and fan housing, and the air handling unit housing.

These components may become contaminated with particulate matter such as dust, dirt, smoke, pollen, or organic compounds if not properly maintained. If moisture is present, the potential for microbiological growth (i.e.: mold) is increased and spores from such growth may be released into the home’s living space. Some of these contaminants can cause allergic reactions or other symptoms in people when exposed to them.

 Indoor Air Quality Benefits

 Indoor Air Quality
Indoor air quality is a homeowners primary concern when deciding to have the air duct and HVAC system cleaned. Every day living in a  six-  room house can annually generate several pounds of contaminants such as pet dander, allergens, dust and dust mites, debris, pathogens  and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled  into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average. The re-circulation  over time causes a build-up of contaminants in the Air Ducts and the HVAC  system.

Dirty air ducts may be contributing to larger health issues or harboring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with  respiratory health conditions, autoimmune disorders or some environmental allergies.

Why Should You Clean Your Air Ducts?

Energy Savings

Over 25% of your HVAC systems heating or cooling energy is wasted according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system. Despite using filters, the heating and cooling system still gets dirty through normal use.

A clean air duct and HVAC system doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain the desired temperature resulting in less energy is used and leads to improved cost-effectiveness.
